I am so excited that you have found yourself here on my page! My name is Katye Schrecengost or 'Katye Schrec" for short. It can be a tongue twister on both names, haha!  I can't even begin to explain to you the excitement I get when you are thinking about working with me. WHAT AN HONOR! I really hope and pray that you can leave here feeling like you're catching up with an old friend, so let's catch up! 

No matter what temperature it is outside you will catch me with an iced vanilla latte in my hand. No shame here, just addicted! I love to read, journal, paint, garden, bake, and relax around my little home. I don't have too much time to relax though because I have two little cuties I'm chasing around loving on! I have been married for four years to my best friend, Hunter, and we have our son, Leeland, and daughter, Oaklynn May. I truly feel so blessed. Much more then I ever thought I deserved. Nature is one thing that brings so much peace to my soul and I feel SO LUCKY that I get to be outside for my job. It is one way I feel close to the Lord! If we were traveling together and I had to pick one snack, I would without-a-doubt choose a Hershey bar with almonds. Anytime of  day, that is what I'm craving along with a nice, cold Coke.

The love of photography has stolen my heart for quite some time now! I remember carrying around my iPad taking pictures of flowers, then getting a GoPro and taking it on all my adventures, then finally buying a camera once I reached high school and taking pictures of friends and family. I never would have imagined that this would bloom into the beautiful business it has. I have been doing this professionally since 2020 and I am continuing to grow and learn how I can be better and do better for you. I truly love what I get to do because of the awesome people I get to work with!

Above all, the most important thing in my life is Jesus. He saved me from the pits and set me on the mountaintop. He forgave me for my past and gave me a future. He cleansed my heart and set me free. I have such a passion for people to know and experience this love because He is the answer to it all. He is the one your soul longs for. I have a podcast named "Your Friend, Katye", to help you learn about Jesus, to love on you, and just be a friend to you. I feel like eveyrbdoy needs someone who will be there to encourage them, while being real and honest. I try to do just that. Everybody deserves to know God and know that they are loved beyond measure. It is available on Apple and Spotify. Go check it out if you want!

Photography means so much to me. It is part of who I am. I am a creator. I believe that no matter how hard life can be, there is beauty in it. In every season. Every change. Every milestone.
